How to Operate a Wet Saw

    • 1). Fill the water reservoir pan 1/2 full of water. This is the pan that sets underneath the saw. Pull it out, take it to your water supply (which should be well away from your work area), and put it carefully back into place under the saw. Connect the power cord into a power source.

    • 2). Measure and mark your tile to the desired size and shape with your carpenter's square and marker. Place your tile against the guide on the saw. Use the angle cut attachment if making an angled cut.

    • 3). Turn on your saw, grasp the tile with both hands, and gently push it into the blade. Let the saw cut slowly and cleanly through the tile. Don't attempt to force the tile; this poses a hazard to yourself and can shatter the tile.

    • 4). Feed the tile into the blade until the cut is complete. Turn off the saw, wait for the blade to stop spinning, and then remove the tile.

    • 5). Dump the reservoir water in a safe disposal container. This used water will contain materials that will damage your plumbing, so don't dump it into your sink or other household drain.
