How to Decorate Your Teenagers Bedroom
When decorating your daughters bedroom it is always best to ask her opinion or you must be sure you know what style she would like.
Your teenagers bedroom is usually very important to her.
It is not only a place to sleep but it is a place to study, a place to get away from everyone and a place to keep herself entertained and a place where she can hang out with her friends.
It is important that your teenager is happy with the results once decorating is complete.
Step 1: Ask your teenager what way she would like her room decorated.
Let her have full say in what her room will look like when finished.
Step 2: Choose curtains and bedding that will work well and tie in with the theme of the room.
Step 3: Choose wall colours that will work well with the theme and also that will match the bedding and the curtains.
Together, you can both choose to do all the walls different colours, do the walls in all the one colour or just use two different colours.
Step 4: It is best to use multi-purpose furniture for the bedroom.
This will provide extra storage and give you more space within the room.
Putting bean bags and funky seating in the room will provide seating for her friends that come to visit.
Step 5: Leave an empty space on the wall where you can put up a board of some kind where your teenager can display posters, certificates or anything she wished to showcase.
If you use a bulletin board it will avoid holes from been put in the wall with the thumb tacks etc.
Step 6: Try and provide an entertainment corner.
Put her T.
V, her stereo and any games consoles she may have in it.
Leave her some shelving space else where so she can showcase her favourite stuff for all to see.
Step 7: Provide a study desk for her to use and provide different lighting such as ceiling lights, spot lights and a lamp for her desk.
Step 8: Provide soft rugs also.
This will make the room look cosier and more comfortable.
