- 1). Clear the floor you wish to clean and vacuum up any dirt.
- 2). Remove the water tank from the front of the Bissell ProHeat 2X by lifting up its carrying handle. Fill with hot water from a kitchen or bathroom faucet. Replace the water tank in the machine.
- 3). Locate the formula tank from the back of the Bissell ProHeat 2X. Take the formula tank out and unscrew the cap. Fill with any of Bissell's carpet cleaning formulas. Return the formula tank to the back of the machine.
- 4). Set the carpet cleaning dial to either rinse, light clean, normal clean or heavy traffic. The ProHeat 2X will mix the exact amount of water and formula based on the setting you choose.
- 5). Turn the ReadyTool dial to floor cleaning and plug in to the nearest grounded outlet. If you plan on using the attachments, turn the ReadyTool dial to hose attachments.
- 6). Press the power switch to turn the Bissell ProHeat 2x on. Press the heat switch on next to heat up the water in the water tank. This will take 60 seconds.
- 7). Start cleaning at the far end of the room and work your way back toward the exit. Just press the trigger to release the water and formula and let go when you want to suck up the water, formula and dirt.
- 8). Repeat using just the rinse cycle if you think too much soap has been left behind in the carpet fibers. This is an optional step.
