For those who spend their life living in a shirt and tie behind a corporate desk there is a secret passion that is known to not many outside of their families. This passion is one of the darkest and dirtiest activates known to man. What is the things that is so dirty that they cannot share it except with their most intimate friends? MUD! More specifically the thrill and joy of going out to the back woods and making a big old sloppy mess of themselves tearing it up in a mudding 4x4 [http://muddingtrucks.net/hjc] on the weekends.

Mudding is without a doubt one of the best ways to get to have a little good "clean" fun on a weekend. You can hang out with your friends and family, have a cook out, sing, laugh enjoy great conversation and good times and best of all, you get to sling mud around, get dirty and act like a little kid again. Of course to have the most fun you will need to have a truck of your own, after all the more trucks the at a mud hole the better.

When you go looking for a truck to use for mudding the first thought might be to borrow one from a friend (bad idea) or to buy the biggest, meanest and loudest truck you can find in the newspaper (also bad idea). The truth is that the best mud trucks are the ones that you might not think about. The reason is simple. These trucks were built with racing in mind, and that means that they have all the best features that you would want in a mud truck. These features include a great suspension system, a powerful engine and a excellent torque conversion ratio. They also can be easily lifted and the smaller size makes for easier handling in the pit.

Of course you also need to make sure that you can get the mud out of the truck as easily as you got it into the truck. One suggestion is to replace the trucks seat with a hard plastic bench style seat. You might also want to accommodate easier clean up by drilling some water drain holes in the floor board as well as the bed. These changes will allow you to easily spray the inside of the truck out with a high power hose when the day is done.

You also want to make sure that you are taking enough precautions to keep things safe. This means that you will probably want to change out the vehicles seat belt system with three or five point harnesses. Since you will be driving at very high speeds though very slick and boggy messes you will want to also make sure that every rider is buckled. These are just common sense precautions just in case things get a little out of control.

If things do get a little out of control and you find yourself waist deep in mud with a stuck truck, you have 3 choices. First you could call a very expensive tow truck; second you could look like a total wimp and have to beg your friends to use their trucks to get you out; or third you could just throw a line around the nearest thing that weighs more than your truck and crank up your winch. Having a winch installed on the front or in the bed of the truck will allow you to pull yourself out of any jam that you find yourself in.

There really is no match for the pleasure that can be had with a mudding 4x4 and a weekend out in the back country with your friends. If you have not been to a mudding day then make it a point to go. If you have then go get you a truck of your own, the fun gets even better when you are behind the wheel.
