How to Take a Pin From a Snow Thrower
- 1). Turn off the snow thrower and unplug the spark plug.
- 2). Ensure there is nothing stopping the rotation of the auger (the blade that cuts through the snow). If there is an obstruction, remove it. Once all obstructions are removed, the auger should rotate freely.
- 3). Rotate the auger to line up to holes in the drive. You should then see the pin. (It's where the two parts of the drive come together.) If you don't see the pin, check your user's manual for its location.
- 4). Using a screwdriver, push out any old snow thrower pins stuck in the drive.
