- 1). Click "Start" and select "Windows Media Player." Click the "Rip" tab. Select "Format" and then select "MP3."
- 2). Insert your CD into the drive. The music from the CD will be automatically ripped to your Library in MP3 format. Some older versions of WMP may require you to click a "Rip" button.
- 3). Install any CDs that came with your MP3 device. Hook the device to your computer with the USB cord specific to the device.
- 4). Click the "Sync" tab in Windows Media Player. Click and drag music from your Library that's listed in the bottom left of the Sync tab, and drag it over to "Sync List" in the bottom right. Click "Start" to download the CD music to the device.
