Hair waxing has always been thought to be the preserve of the female folk and the classy ones at that. Your everyday woman would normally shave unwanted hair from her body.  This has been true for quite some but with a new generation and age comes new things.  This practice of waxing is now not limited to classy and stylish woman only. This trend has also caught up on men. Apparently having excessive body hair is no longer seen as a signature of masculinity, therefore waxing has taken precedence in many men. In fact in big cities like London there are salons that exclusively provide male waxing services.

Every person however has their own preference on waxing. There is the bikini wax and also the Brazilian waxing.  The bikini waxing as the name suggests is meant to make one look nice in a bikini, meaning it is only good for women. As for Brazilian waxing it is done on all parts of the body that have hair, depending on the client's preferences.  Most people have often used other forms of hair removal such as hair removal creams and shaving. In most cases the hairs grows faster after these processes as compared to waxing. This is so because when waxing the hair is removed right from the root which makes it take long to grow; approximately 2 to 4 weeks. Another advantage is that after waxing the growth of hair is more sparse and softer. You also don't get that itchy feeling after shaving

Brazilian waxing is the most ideal for men as the whole body is open for waxing.  Men are known to have more bodily hair than women hence have a wider area to cover. However, the best way to go around the little pain that comes with waxing is to get a fast therapist as it is less painful when done faster. The first step when doing Brazilian waxing is cleansing the area to be waxed using pre-waxing lotion. Applying a warming strip is usually done to keep the wax from sticking on the skin. This is done using a waxing roller or a spatula. However this has to be done only in the direction the hair has grown.  The next step is placing the fabric or paper on the surface and firmly pressing it to make sure that hair strands hold well.  This fabric is then removed by pulling it off quickly in the opposite direction, thereby removing the hair from its follicle. The area that has been waxed is then soothed by applying after wax cooling gel or lotion, this calms the area down.

With Brazilian waxing, you can be sure that you will not have to worry about your body hair for quite sometime. However male waxing differs a little from the traditional waxing, as non strip hot wax is used as opposed to strip wax.  After going through a Brazilian waxing therapy there are a few tips that you should remember to avoid pain afterwards and to get the best results. The most basic is to avoid engaging in activities that can trigger excessive sweating. Avoid lotions with heavy scents on the waxed area. Generally avoid anything that can affect the open pores on your skin.
