The Times of London's 2009 Higher Education ranking placed Cambridge University at the top of the UK heap for Engineering and Information Technology programs, and fourth best in the world for the field. One of the world's oldest schools, the self-governed Cambridge is comprised of over 31 colleges and 150 departments. Imperial College London was the second-highest-ranking British school on the Times' Higher Education ranking, 2009, for Engineering and Information Technology, and tied for sixth in the world with the University of Tokyo. The school offers three degree courses in Information Systems Engineering within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with a specific focus on computing systems. A three-year degree leads to a Bachelor of Engineering Information Systems, while two four-year courses lead to a Master of Engineering Information Systems Engineering.
