Women"s Personal Defense Solutions - Protect Yourself From Dangerous Situations
We have all seen the stories in the newspaper.
We have all watched the headlines on TV.
Women found beaten and raped; Women found strangled in woods off highway; Women missing after leaving a late night meeting.
The list goes on and on.
Yet I will bet you at least 4 out of 5 women today aren't prepared or ready to defend themselves in a life or death situation.
Now one thing I know about women is they are strong; they are determined; and they are tougher than any guy I have ever met.
Yet they still go through life unprepared for that split second confrontation that can turn their beautiful lives into a living nightmare.
The goal of this article is to provide all that read it with some basic and not so basic rules to follow to increase your chance of not being a target for the sickos that are prowling around looking for a women to prey upon.
If the content of this article prevents one woman from being assaulted (or worse), then it was worth writing in my opinion.
So here we go.
The first basic rule to follow is be aware of your surroundings.
If you are in a crowded area with lots of people around, chances are you aren't going to have a problem.
But, if it's 10 PM and you are leaving a business meeting and walking to your car, that's when to turn on the radar.
Always have your car keys out and ready...
If you have a remote with a panic button on it, be ready to use it.
Try to walk with a co-worker; or ask someone if they would mind walking with you to your vehicle.
This is what I mean about being aware.
If you are alone, you need to carry a non lethal weapon.

Once you are aware of your surroundings, learn to "people watch".
If you see a man and a women walking hand in hand, chances are they aren't thinking about harming you.
A single figure dressed in a dark outfit that is following you; or that you keep noticing in different locations is definitely a red flag.
If you are in this situation make your way to a crowded area or better yet get yourself a personal alarm and have it out and ready to activate in case he moves on you.
Final rule - Learn basic self defense techniques! It amazes me how many women don't know how to defend themselves.
They feel fighting is just for macho guys with the IQ of a turnip.
Wrong ladies! You need to know basic moves and pressure points (besides the obvious) on a guy to get him off of you and quick.
If you aren't the type who wants to go to a class or take lessons, there are many videos available that you can watch in your living room and learn even a few basic moves.
Better yet, watch it with the whole family! Everyone needs to know how to protect themselves in today's world.
Remember, be prepared before a bad situation occurs! Last, but certainly not least, every women should always carry some sort of protection with her.
My wife and my daughter both carry Mace whenever they go out.
They also carry personal alarms and are trained in basic self defense techniques.
We live in New York and if stun guns were legal here, they would each be carrying one of them also.
You may say I don't have the money to buy these types of items...
Let's face it ladies...
You are worth it! If you are willing to spend a few hundred dollars on a designer purse, or buy a pair of shoes that you probably really could do without, then less than $100 dollars to keep yourself safe is a bargain!
