How to Make a Jersey Knit Scarf

  • 1). Lay a 2 1/2-yard piece of jersey knit fabric on a flat surface. Smooth out any wrinkles.

  • 2). Measure 18 inches from the edge of the fabric, horizontally. Mark the fabric with tailor's chalk.

  • 3). Lay the yardstick vertically at the spot where you made the mark. Using the yardstick as a straight edge, mark all the way up the fabric with the tailor's chalk.

  • 4). Cut along the line from one end of the fabric to the other.

  • 5). Wash and dry the scarf to make the unfinished edges roll in.
