How to Grow Moss Between Flagstones

    • 1). Kill any weeds growing between existing flagstone with a glyphosate weed killer such as Roundup. Wait three days before planting moss.

    • 2). Brush existing sand or gravel from between flagstones and fill cracks with topsoil that has a pH of between 4.5 and 6.0. Moisten soil.

    • 3). Cut moss into strips and lay on moistened topsoil in shade or dappled shade.

    • 4). Water moss as needed to keep evenly moist until it is established. Do not over water moss, as that will cause it to rot.
