Oh, it is frustrating. You've worked up your nerve, you've pulled out your cell phone and you sent off that text message that it took you 30 minutes to think of. You are absolutely sure that she will be stunned, taken back, and deeply intrigued by the message that you just sent her. So, you sit back and wait with a smile on your face, sure that your phone will be buzzing with the sound of her sending something back. It does not work out like that, though. You sit there staring at your phone and wondering what's up. Maybe the text did not go through. Maybe you sent it to the wrong person by mistake. So, you double check and see that it did go out and it went to the right number.
She's NOT texting you back.
What should you do? Should you send off a barrage of messages just to make sure that you get her attention? Were you totally wrong in thinking that you had crafted the perfect text to get her intrigued and interested in you?
Most of the time, all you really have to do is calm your nerves. No matter what the reason for her not texting you back, there is no reason to get all worked up about it. Find something to do that will distract you and keep you from giving into the urge of trying to get in contact with her. The best way to do this, if you have the means to do so, is to communicate with another woman. It's so easy to get your mind off of one when you have another as back up.
If you don't have a back up, just keep yourself away from the phone. Don't do the thing that you know you want to do because it is only going to make you look like a jerk to her. Fact is, there are a million reasons why she might not be texting you back, from not liking you one bit to being tied up at work.
Here's another thing that you can do when you get past the anxiety of worrying about what she is up to. Analyze what you did and see if you made any mistakes. Sometimes, you can think that a text will sound perfect one minute and then go back to it later and see that it actually reads kind of weird or bland.
Most importantly, though, this should be a wake up call and a sign that you need to expand your social circle a bit and have more women at your disposal to talk to, date, or hang out with.
