Addiction

• Some people may abuse Adderall and Ritalin, whether or not the drug was prescribed. People with past drug problems or a history of drinking are especially susceptible.

• Appetite and weight can be dramatically decreased when using Adderall and Ritalin as prescribed. This can create potentially serious health issues due to lack of nutrition and/or an unhealthy body weight.
  
  

Mood Changes

• Potentially dangerous mood changes, such as abnormal excitement or mania, seeing things that aren't there (hallucinations), and believing things that aren't true (delusions) can result from treatment.
  
  

Allergic Reaction

• Symptoms of allergic reaction which can be life-threatening may also occur when using Adderall or Ritalin. Signs include itching, hives, and difficulty breathing.
