    Breakfast

    • Breakfast is still the most important meal of the day. Instant oatmeal or dried cereals are quick and you have a choice of hot or cold. Oatmeal only needs hot water and while you're heating up the water for the oatmeal, make enough for a cup of instant coffee or cocoa. Single packets of sugar or creamer make a cup of coffee taste just like home. You will need milk for cereal but consider buying pint size containers. As the milk is used the containers can be tossed, leaving more room in the cooler. Breakfast bars are available in a wide range of varieties and also make a good snack. Juice boxes are just the right size and are disposable. Egg beaters make great omelets and are easy to pack into the cooler. Make the omelets special with cheese, chopped ham and peppers and onion.

    Lunch

    • A small investment in a pie iron provides campers with a huge selection of hot sandwiches. Ordinary lunch meat with cheese added easily becomes a warm lunch. Add some extras like mushrooms, thin sliced peppers or any of your favorites. Prepackaged tuna with cheese makes a wonderful tuna melt. Pie irons can also be used for warm fruit pie. Pack a cooking spray to keep food from sticking to the iron.

    Main Meal

    • Shish kebobs let each camper create and cook their own dinner. Cut and marinade beef cubes at home, add sliced vegetables, onion and whatever else suits your fancy for a meal on a stick. A foil wrapped dinner is also an easy clean-up. Add chicken, vegetables or small potatoes. If you are so inclined, include cream of chicken soup for some extra flavor. Nothing is faster than a hot dog. Fashion a stick and let each person roast their own. There are also many prepared meals that only need to be heated such as, stew, prepared spaghetti or ravioli and soups.

    Snacks

    • Nothing comes close to the taste of a s'more. A stick to roast marshmallows, graham crackers and a chocolate bar--and you are set to enjoy a culinary delight. Dried fruit, cheese, trail mix, beef jerky are easy to pack and adds variety to camp snacks.
