    • 1). Park the travel trailer and chock the wheels. Turn off the main circuit breaker and check that all electrical connections are disconnected. Open the battery housing door and use an adjustable wrench to remove the battery cables from the battery. Remove the battery.

    • 2). Scrub off the terminals and cables with a toothbrush dipped in cola. The acids from the cola-based soda removes terminal and cable corrosion.

    • 3). Bring the old battery to a battery or RV camper dealer and get a suitable replacement. Turn the old battery over to receive the core-credit, reducing the replacement battery cost. Bring the new battery back to the travel trailer.

    • 4). Place the new DC battery into the holding area and attach the red cable to the red battery terminal and the black cable to the black battery terminal. Turn on the main circuit breaker, then turn on an electric device to check the battery and charge.
