However, without a successful welcome message you cannot expect people to become fans and listen to what you have to say.

With all those marketing campaigns and in the age of spam, it is not easy to trust anybody online.
Therefore, you need to let people know that you feel privileged that they entrusted you and this has to come through in the autoresponder message.
Give Away Information If you used a bribe on your site to make people sign up for your autoresponder, it is time to give it to them.
Usually the account settings allow you to redirect people to a download page after confirming their email address, but what happens if they lose the page or there is an error? Make sure that you are sending them the exact link in the first message, otherwise they will quickly unsubscribe from your autoresponder and you will never succeed at list building.
Apart from the link, you can also include a little snippet of information, such as a free tip or further resources.
Tell Them Exactly What You Offer In the welcome autoresponder message, you will need to tell your new subscriber what they can expect.
Be honest about how often you will send them information and how long the messages will be.
Also communicate the main focus of your expertise, in order to let them decide whether or not they are interested.
It is better to know in the beginning what you offer, not to mention that honesty builds trust.
Give Them Reasons Why Not to Unsubscribe By law, you will need to include an unsubscribe link in ever autoresponder message you send out to your subscribers.
Just before the link, you should give them reasons why they don't want to do so.
Promise them what comes next and what they can learn from the newsletter.
You will see that they will think twice before clicking the link.
