Stat Attack College Football 2014-15

One of my favorite things to write about each year is the new line of Stat Attack programs, as that means I have a new tool to play around with in the annual quest to beat the sportsbooks. Not much has changed with the program since last year, which is a good thing, as there is no reason to simply make changes for the sole purpose of making changes, a philosophy Microsoft should become familiar with.

For 2014, there are again three different versions of Stat Attack; Regular, Gold and Platinum.

The Regular version of Stat Attack allows you perform an unlimited number of searches, such as how teams have done in various point spread situations, such as home or away; conference or non-conference games; as favorites or underdogs and plenty more. You can also search how head coaches have done in the same situations, something that takes on greater importance in college football than in the pros due to the ever-changing rosters and the fact that coaches seldom change their habits even after they move to a different school.

The database goes all the way back to the 1985 season and you can click on any game and see the final score, weather, yards gained, time of possession and plenty more. Just buying a set of logs that goes back so far would cost you more than the $69.95 purchase price.

The Gold version does everything that the Regular version does, but also automatically updates results for the current season, allowing you to pinpoint and changes in tendencies and trends.

In last year's review I noted that in games played on grass with a total of 60 or greater, there was a strong tendency for them to go over the total in 2012. Last year saw a big reversal, as those same games that went 48-35 (57.8%) in 2012, were just 42-53 (44.2%) in 2013. Those bettors who were able to keep up with the trends taking place in the current season were quickly able to spot the reversal and most likely stayed away from some of those losses after noticing the change in direction the totals were going through. It sells for $159.95.

The Platinum version is Stat Attack's cream of the crop, allowing you to do everything the Gold version does, but also adds the capability to perform what are known as "All Team Searches" which show results in corresponding order of how all college football teams have performed in a certain situation over a period of time. If you want to know which teams have performed the best as home underdogs of 15 points or more over the past five seasons, Stat Attack will tell you that it is Iowa State, as the Cyclones are a perfect 3-0 ATS in that situation. You will also see that Colorado is a dismal 2-7, Kentucky is 1-5, and Eastern Michigan and Toledo are both 0-3 when made a home underdog of at least 15 points over the past five seasons. It's a solid buy at $219.95.

Using Stat Attack

There is really no proper way of using a Stat Attack program, as they are designed to let you decide what is important. You can concentrate on coaches or teams, various conferences, or all college football teams. That is one of the great things about the entire line of programs.

Stat Attack consistently puts out a solid product and they want you to be happy with your purchase. You are always encouraged to e-mail whitey@statattacksports.com or call Whitey at (479) 750-0817 and speak to him personally either before or after making a purchase. I've known Whitey for a number of years and know that the most important thing to him is that you are satisfied with your purchase.

Once again, Stat Attack delivers in a big way and you'll be able to download the program immediately, making it a perfect time to purchase a copy.
