Ah NASCAR, NASCAR is the most watched sport known to man it even trumps football.
Yep there are more people that tune in on TV or are physically at these tracks to watch the race than any other event including even when President Barack Obama is on TV! That is a true and amazing thought, the only single thing that could even be better than being a fan, is being someone like my self that happens to be blessed to be part of the actual Sponsorship of the team.
I am so blessed, and so excited! The very large part of this #56 Monte Carlo SS and the #74 Dodge Craftsman Truck 2009 race team is the driver who just happens to be a man by the name of Larry Foyt son of the legend Indi-Car driver AJ Foyt.
Derrike Cope will also be taking the wheel, Larry in the past has had hard times in his carrier in NASCAR.
What driver does not in NASCAR? But this streak we are confident will be forever changed in this 2009 NASCAR season with our help! Starting with the Daytona 500! Here is some basic information about Larry Foyt.
He is a great guy.
In 2001, Larry Foyt moved to the Busch Series, driving the #14 Harrah's Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
He had five top-twenties and finished 22nd in points, third in the Rookie of the Year championship.
The next year, he had two top-tens and finished 20th in points.
He moved to Cup full-time in 2003, and had a best finish of 16th at Homestead-Miami Speedway, finishing 41st in points.
After the team lost its Harrah's sponsorship, Foyt ran just three races before the team closed its doors.
In 2005, Foyt ran one race in ARCA and finished twelfth in the race.
He ended up missing most of the season after suffering back injuries in a crash in the Indy 500.
He hoped to make the Daytona 500 in the #50 owned by Arnold Motorsports, but missed the race.
Early in the season, he announced the formation of his own Busch Series team, but after sponsorship failed to materialize, the team dissolved.
He also ran the Indianapolis 500 again, finishing 30th after suffering handling problems.
It's a great thing to be able to help a talented person Like Larry Foyt to realize his dreams of making it in NASCAR, I for one am very blessed to be part of this new beginning for him in 2009.
Go get them Larry! 2009 is going to be big for you with us! Be sure to watch for this great person and cheer him on! See you at the race!
