- 1). Check your cell phone's user manual to make sure it is possible to upload video files to the phone.
- 2). Open the Internet browser and navigate to your cell-phone manufacturer's website. Choose "Support," then select your make and model of phone. Here you are given the file downloads required for syncing the phone with your computer. Depending on the phone you are using, this is either a driver or a software download.
- 3). Click the download and wait for it to transfer to your computer system. Once the transfer is complete, double-click the downloaded file to load the installation wizard. Accept the end-user agreement, then follow the on-screen prompts to install the software or driver onto the computer.
- 4). Plug the USB data cable into the USB port on the phone, then insert the other end into a USB port on your computer.
- 5). Click "Start," then "Computer," then double-click the cell phone icon, if you installed a driver. This loads a window with all the files stored on the phone. Drag the desired video file into the open window and wait for the information to transfer onto the phone. If you installed software, launch the software and drag the video file into the open program window. Select "Sync," and the video file uploads to the phone.
