Well, what can we say about our business? We are ridiculous, sarcastic, strange even. We aren't the biggest, we aren't the best...we are adequate.
It all started back in the early 1990's when Dan got a job at a screen printer near his house called Kizcam. Dan started experimenting with various screen printing and heat transfer techniques printing his original artwork in full color.
Eric got inspired by a temporary position at the Made in Detroit factory and the popularity of the now defunct Tastee brand by Gary Arnette. Eric started having his own designs outsourced by local printers in his area.
The idea of starting a Clothing Company always seemed like a pipe-dream. We really just made shirts that we thought were funny or interesting. Eventually, it got to the point where whenever we wore our designs out in public, people would ask where we got them.
We slowly started getting the products carried in some independent clothing stores and skate shops.
Someone rented a booth at a local music festival, and we realized they were selling bootlegged version of our designs without our permission. This is when we new it was time to step up our efforts.
This website was established in 2008 and has been a major learning experience for both of us. Eric does his best to not break the online store while adding new and improved features for everyone's convenience. Dan comes up with most of the designs, and works his ass off in a super hot screen printing warehouse where he makes each and every item by hand. Eric comes up with some of the design ideas too, but Dan's are better. Our friends also have a lot to do with what ends up on a shirt.
It has taken us a really long time to get to this point as this has always been more of a hobby to us. We do it because we love it, and we hope that you like our products too.
