How to Replace Delta Chop Saw Blades
- 1). Pull the plug on the chop saw from the electrical wall outlet.
- 2). Grasp the wheel guard. Rotate the guard up and back, to the rear of the machine.
- 3). Press in the arbor lock located on the left of the abrasive wheel housing. Rotate the abrasive wheel until the lock engages the arbor. The abrasive wheel won't rotate when the lock is in the proper position.
- 4). Fit the Delta saw wrench over the bolt in the center of the abrasive wheel. Turn the wrench and bolt in a counterclockwise direction.
- 5). Remove the bolt, washer, outer arbor flange, and the abrasive wheel. Don't remove the inner arbor flange.
- 6). Center the new abrasive wheel over the arbor shaft and against the inner arbor flange. Fit the outer arbor flange next to the abrasive wheel and the washer against the flange. Insert the bolt into the arbor shaft.
- 7). Tighten the bolt with the Delta saw wrench in a clockwise direction. Move the saw guard back into position.
