- Plan your trip carefully. The winter months tend to be very comfortable, with high temperatures averaging near 70 degrees and the lows in the mid to upper 40s. In the spring and fall, the highs average in the 70s to low 80s, with it dipping into the 50s or 60s at night.

- There are plenty of things to do in Salt Springs. Water activities include swimming, snorkeling, canoeing and kayaking. Lake George is known for its bass fishing. Spend some time at a natural spring, and keep your eyes open for manatees and otters. Certified cave divers will love exploring the underwater caves.
