How to Stretch Out a Football Jersey That Is Too Small
- 1). Soak the shirt in cold water. This can be done in a bathroom sink, tub or in your washing machine.
- 2). Ring out the excess moisture from the shirt. Roll the shirt tightly and squeeze over and over until most of the excess water has been removed.
- 3). Place a towel down over your wide-back chair. This protects the chair from getting wet and ruining the finish.
- 4). Stretch the football jersey over the wide-back chair. Pull the shirt down over each side of the chair until it is down along the back as far as it will go.
- 5). Leave the football jersey on the back of the chair for 20 minutes.
- 6). Rotate the shirt onto each side so that it stretches equally. Leave the shirt on the back of the chair until it is ready to be worn so that the fibers do not shrink back down.
