Salmon with Lemon Couscous Menu

Every time I browse through my supermarket with the intention of really looking at the products living the shelves, I'm pleasantly surprised by a new product that is a real time and money saver. Last week I was looking at the frozen section of the meat department and came across salmon fillets by No Name Brands. Now you know I love No Name meats, so I quickly compared prices, found that their price beat the competition, and bought it.

I made it yesterday in Salmon with Lemon Couscous, and it was wonderful. Each salmon fillet has a popup timer so you know when it's cooked to perfection, and they are marinated in some wonderful seasonings. So get a box or two and store them in your freezer so you can make this easy meal when you're pressed for time. In fact, everything used in this meal can be stored in the freezer! So it's perfect for busy nights when you want to eat well but don't have more than half an hour for dinner.

Salmon with Lemon Couscous Menu

  • Salmon and Lemon Couscous
I prepared the salmon as the No Name Brand package directed, so I didn't use the seasonings in this easy five ingredient recipe. This was the perfect entree and side dish combination for a spring evening.
  • Green Beans Amandine
Garlic and toasted almond slices add wonderful flavor and crunch to tender green beans.
  • Toasted Garlic Bread
You could make these flavorful bread slices ahead of time and freeze them, then just toast in your toaster oven when you're ready to serve and they'll be fresh and delicious.

  • Baked Apple Dessert
This easy and super delicious dessert recipe is one of my favorites. Oatmeal cookies kept in the freezer and some apple pie filling are all you need to make a wonderful, homey dessert in minutes.
