    • 1). Find the elevation, azimuth (left and right movement) and the tilt coordinates for your location. This information is on your receiver's menu under the ''dish pointing'' option or you can go to the DirecTV or Dish Network website. You will need your ZIP code in order to get the correct coordinates for your location.

    • 2). Set the azimuth by turning the dish left or right on the mast until the line matches up with the azimuth number you will need for your location. The azimuth guide is located on the bottom of the install bracket on the back of your dish.

    • 3). Set the elevation on your dish using the guide marked ''elevation'' on the back of the dish. Use your wrench to loosen the bolt on the elevation guide and move the dish up or down so that the line on the guide lines up with the number you need for your location. Tighten the bolt.

    • 4). Loosen the screws on the skew or tilt bracket located on the dish assembly on the back of your dish. The name is different on the guide depending on which dish you have purchased, but the concept is the same. Tilt the dish either right or left until the mark on the guide lines up with the skew number you need. Tighten the bolts to hold the skew guide in place. Do not readjust this guide if you need to fine-tune the dish later. This will line up your dish so it will receive the 110 degree and 119 degree satellites.

    • 5). Check the signal strength with the strength meter, which you can find in the receiver's menu under the dish pointing option. Check both the 110 degree and 119 degree signal strength. If you need to fine-tune your dish, move it to the right or left on the mast about 10 degrees at a time until you have the signal strength you need. Tighten the dish to the mast so it doesn't move.
