    Power Your Device

    • 1). Insert the rechargeable battery with its receptors facing down and label facing up into the battery charger. Align the triangle symbol on the battery with the triangle symbol on the side of the battery charger to confirm that the battery is inserted properly.

    • 2). Flip the prongs out from the back of the charger into a right angle. Plug the charger directly into a functional wall outlet and allow the battery to charge for about 90 minutes. The indicator light on the front of the charger will be orange as the battery charges and will switch to green when the battery is fully charged.

    • 3). Push open the battery chamber door on the bottom of the camera with your thumbs, and insert the battery with its label facing the same direction as the monitor on the back of the camera.

    Set the Mode

    • 1). Push the "Power" button, located on top of the camera to the left of the "Shutter Release" button, if you're looking at the back of the camera. You will hear a start-up sound, and the LCD screen will light up.

    • 2). Switch the "Mode" selector, located on the back of the camera to the right of the monitor, to the camera icon ("Record").

    • 3). Push the "Func/Set" button, located in the center of the four-way navigation button on the back of the camera, and use the four-way navigation button, located on the lower right side of the monitor, to select the "Auto" function.

    • 4). Press the "Func/Set" button once again to lock the setting.

    Take a Picture

    • 1). Aim the camera toward your subject. Frame your subject within the framing brackets located either on the LCD screen or the viewfinder, which is the small window above the monitor that allows you to see through the lens.

    • 2). Push the "Shutter Release" button, located to the far right of the top of your camera, down half way, allowing the camera to focus the lens and adjust all the exposure settings automatically.

    • 3). Depress the "Shutter Release" button fully when you are satisfied with your composition. The picture will be taken and saved to memory.

    View Pictures

    • 1). Switch the "Mode" selector to the "Play" button. You will see the last picture taken on the display.

    • 2). Use the four-way navigation button to go backward or forward through your library of saved images.

    • 3). Hold the four-way navigation button down to the right or left to speed forward or backward through your pictures.
