Arizona State University is in Tempe, Arizona. Many RV parks in the area cater to people 55 and older, but there are a few exceptions. Visitors to this area not only come to see Arizona State, but come for baseball spring training and to visit the Mayo Clinic. Tee up at the Desert Sands Golf Course, five miles south of the University. - Located one mile east of the Arizona State campus, the Apache Palms RV Park is a full-service resort with heated swimming pool, hot tub, complimentary wireless Internet and citrus trees that guests are welcome to forage from when the fruit is ripe. Another advantage is a Metro station just outside the entrance. Just hop on the air-conditioned light rail for a quick trip into town.
This is a private campground that offers both long- and short-term stays. There are 80 graveled spaces, all with full hook-ups. Both 30- and 50-amp electrical outlets are offered. There are eight pull-throughs that are 70 feet long. The rest are back-ins that can handle rigs up to 42 feet. All spaces are wide enough for slide-outs. The park offers a self-serve RV wash, showers, restrooms, laundry, public phone and a library. There is a dump station on site.

There are 65 graveled sites, all with full hook-ups and patios. Electrical connections are either 30 or 50 amps, and all sites are back-ins that are 42 feet long. Pets are allowed, but there are breed and quantity restrictions so it is best to check ahead.
Park amenities include a swimming pool, spa, showers, restrooms, public phone, library and laundry room. Wireless Internet service is available throughout the park. Green Acres is on the city's light rail line with the closest station being two blocks away.

(ref 3) - The Arizona Maverik Family RV Park is 19 miles west of Arizona State. It is a popular park for visitors to the school, as well as those going to baseball spring training. This is a smaller park with 39 spaces, all back-ins and all with full hook-ups. Both 30- and 50-amp electrical service is offered. The spaces are wide enough for slide-outs. All sites have patios and wireless Internet access, but the park does charge a fee for the latter. Small pets are welcome.
The park offers restrooms, showers, a laundry and a public phone. This park is one block south of East Main Street, which is the direct route to Arizona State. This major road also has grocery stores, shops, restaurants and pubs.
