3 Easy Ways to Jump Like Lebron James!
NBA stars had to start somewhere and develop there jump skills just like you.
Getting the jumping skills you want will take both hard work and dedication.
Here are a 3 easy ways to increase your vertical leap in the first 2 weeks of the program.
Warming Up Prior to starting your exercises you want to warm up.
Your warm up should include things such stretching, jump roping (believe it or not), and jogging.
These warm ups are essential in starting your workout.
1.
Split Squats Split squats focus on your quadriceps which are key in getting that leap you want.
Split squats may be done with body weight or added weight.
Standing up; step one foot out as far as you can while keeping your back straight.
Then you want to bend the knee on the leg you put forward, and squat until your leg behind you hits the floor.
You will want to do about 3 sets of 10 reps.
2.
Stair Sets To start find a set of stairs about 20 high.
The key behind running up stairs is to not take them 1 at a time.
You want to really explode up the stairs and take them 2 at a time.
Explosion is the secret behind jumping and stairs will help you do just that.
You'll want to do this about 10 times within 10 minutes.
3.
Calf Raises One of the biggest misconceptions about jumping is that you dont need to work your calf muscles.
WRONG! Your calf muscles are a huge part of getting the vertical you want.
To do calf raises you need to find something to stand on.
Then step to the edge so that just your toes are on the edge.
Next raise onto the tip of your toes and hold there for one second while squeezing your calf muscles, then release.
Do this in 3 sets of 10 repetitions about 3 times daily.
