Lifestyle and culture of the people of Bangladsh
Occupation:
There are about 87372 villages in Bangladesh.Most of the people in these villages are engaged in agricultural work like cultivation,fishing, farming,pottery,making handicraft etc.Some people are engaged in small business.Now a days a reasonable number of people are living in foreign country to serve their family.
In case of city most people are engaged in job.These jobs can be divided in two sector like Govt.and private sector.In Govt.sector people are serving in different Govt. and semi Govt.institute,Govt.administration,Govt.school & colleges,Govt.banks etc. In private sector people are serving in banks,variour private firm,garments,marketing agencies,school& colleges,mills & factories,NGO,shopping center,one stop service center etc.Besides these a huge number of people are engaed in small,midium and large business.It is also mentionable that our main export product is readymate garments,so a huge number of people are engaged in this sector in Dhaka,Chittagong,Gazipur,Narayangonj cities.
Dress:
Mens are basically wearing shirt,t-shirt,pant,lungi,fotua,panjabi and wommens are saree,saloer kamiz etc.
Festival: Most of the people of Bangladesh is Muslim.Their main religious festival is Eid-ul-Fitre & Eidul Azha.Besides these Sobe-botat,Ramadan is also their religious festival.
The religious festival of Hindu people is durga pooja,laxmi puja,sorosoti puja,dewali,Holi etc.
The religious festival of chiristial people is Chrismas day.
The religious festival of Buddhist is Boudho Purnima.
1st Boishakh is the ist day of Bangla year.This is the festival of all Bengali people.
Transportation:
Rickshaw is the main transport of the people of Bangladesh.This is used for small distance.Other transportation for small distance are auto rickshaw,easy bike,cycle,motorcycle,van,boat etc.
For long distance bus,minibus,car,train are available.
Food
Rice,fish,dal,vegetable,meat,bread are our main food.
