How to Remove Cigarette Smell From Leather Purse
- 1). Place stinky purse in front of a fan on high speed for one hour. Rotate the purse every 15 minutes.
- 2). With a damp paper towel, wipe the purse to remove any dirt.
- 3). Place purse in the dryer but sitting on a drying rack so it doesn't get tossed around in the dryer.
- 4). Let the dryer run on air only setting (no heat) for 1/2 hour.
- 5). Open dryer and place two very damp paper towels onto the purse or on the dryer rack. Take masking tape and tape a dryer sheet to each one of the shelves inside the dryer (you're ultimately using 3-4 dryer sheets). If you skip this step the dryer sheets will stay in one place while the dryer tumbles.
- 6). Now on extra low heat, let dryer run for 15 minutes.
- 7). Remove purse, wipe again with a damp paper towel then slather with leather conditioner. Test a spot first to ensure it doesn't cause discoloration.
- 8). Again, place two damp paper towels in dryer. Re-tape any dryer sheets that are astray.
- 9). Place purse back on rack and let the dryer go on low heat again for another 15 minutes.
