Black and White E-Series Smartphones - Nokia E71 Black and Nokia E71 White
Nokia has come up with another brand new entry in the E series.
Most of the mobile phone models in E series haven't been super successful as far as the feature of 3G US bands is concerned.
Both the earlier models, E62 and E61i, have been popular but not breathtakingly successful.
Probably this is the reason why most of the individuals do not prefer investing their money in the E series.
However the latest offering from the manufacturers of Nokia is bound to change people's opinion on this product.
The new Nokia E71 has been made available in both Black and White colour variants, the black edition is a network exclusive with he Orange network whilst the white edition can only be connected to 3 network packages.
Both handsets offer the exact same specifications but exchange the exterior casing cover to match their model name and there is a further graphite grey edition of the Nokia E71 that is open to all networks so it's not just a simple decision about which colour to opt for but more which network.
Nokia E71 Review: Keyboard Details Coming to the keys section, proportionate is the word which fits in best to describe the order of keys.
The middle selection key also doubles up as the notification light.
The border around the middle key will automatically glow up in case the phone reports any missed event for the user.
The notification light will not dim down till the user clears the event or notification time (can be manually adjusted) expires out, whichever is earlier.
The best thing about the looks of this little devil is the fact that it is surprisingly thin.
Considering the fact that none of the features or style has been compromised upon, one is left wondering how its makers did manage to squeeze in all the features within such a small space.
The screen of e71 is 320x240 wide and extremely sharp.
Though the users might feel it's not as bright as N95 but the good part is that it is easy on the eye which makes it an ideal device for heavy web browsing or watching a movie on it.
The connectivity of the phone is not as efficient as its European counterparts; however GPS is supported by the network.
Other features include Wi-Fi 802.
11a,b,g, Bluetooth 2.

Audio and Video Delight The E71 too has a single speaker located on the upper left of the phone.
The sound is fine for alert and ring tones but the phone lacks bass.
The USP of E series is its email facility.
Apart from the normal POP3/IMAP supported protocols, the phone also has Blackberry Connect and Goodlink.
The E71 has also been given a visual makeover in the messaging application which is good as well.
However the phone still lacks support for HTML email.
The QWERTY keyboard is the only aspect which acts as a bit of dampener because of the wrong placement of keys.
The typing in this keyboard is not exactly a cakewalk as the keys are not exactly located according to the QWERTY keyboard standards.
This makes for difficult typing, especially if one is constantly not looking at the keyboard.
All said and done, it's a pretty decent phone, definitely far better than its predecessors.
