Using the internet to market a business is no longer a question.
Every type of business can be found on the web, and what business owner hasn't been asked "Do you have a website?" The question has become how to get people to come to your website when looking for your product or service.
What is the best way to market or advertise a business on the internet? There is pay per click and Google ad words, even ads along side email messages in some way related to the subject matter of the email on web based platforms like gmail.
While these can be very effective, they will cost you whether you make a sale from them or not.
An alternative has emerged from the creation of social networking, or Web 2.
0 sites, that can be used to bring more traffic to your site and improve its search engine rankings.
The use of these sites has been called Attraction Marketing because the object is to attract new customers rather than chase them.
They are attracted to information related to your business that is of interest to them.
The information which you, the business owner, provide on the internet at no cost to them, leads them to your site.

0, because these sites have gone to a new level of interaction and connectivity between the users.
People can comment on and link to the posted content from there own posted content.
Business owners can use this by posting relevant content that is beneficial to someone in the market for their product or service.
By sharing this information, the business owner can build trust with the potential client.
The content is linked to the business' website, bringing the potential client to the business- thus Attraction Marketing.
This process also improves the search engine rankings or search engine optimization(SEO) of the business' website, ideally moving it toward the first pages of the search engines.

Even YouTube is a very effective marketing tool.
All of these can be used to market a business on the internet, and they are all free of charge.
While they will cost some time to create the content and learn some very simple techniques, there is no cost to use them.
There are some optimized blogs that may cost $5-15 per month depending on the features you choose, but that is certainly a small cost compared to the benefit.
The business owner should think of the content as real estate with a big billboard that they own and that is pointing people toward their business.
Once created, it is yours and it's out there working for you.
The more, and the more relevant, the better.
