Controlling Dog Fleas on the First Stage

101 23
Dogs are very susceptible and transparent to flea attacks just like humans very transparent to skin problems.  Dogs are incapable of shielding themselves against these fleas and bugs because they are not inherently and by nature are not born with intelligence and skills to do that.  Humans, on the other hand have been given the right kind of mind and intelligence to have himself protected against any potential threat or risk.

What can humans do to control the fleas from infesting dogs?

Now, since dogs are incapable to keep themselves shielded from being infested by fleas and bugs, human intervention is quite necessary.  However, since humans (dog owners) are somehow limited with skills to control the fleas and the bugs that infest dogs, they still rely with what they know and hear.

Now, with the limited stock of knowledge that they have and the bountiful resources that are around these dog owners, they have the means and the ways to properly control and mitigate the presence of dog fleas and the instances of infestations in their dogs.

Some of the more noted things and procedures that dog owners can do to help lessen the attack and infestation of fleas and bugs on their dogs are the following:
  • Make sure that you clean the area where the dog is dwelling.  Mostly, fleas would love to gestate in places where there is a comfortable gestating place.  When the dog is sleeping and eating on the floor without a cage, the more likely that flea will grow fast.  The floor most especially when it is surrounded by sand becomes a good breeding place for fleas and bugs.  In order to eliminate this possibility, it is best that you keep the dwelling place of the dog a little hygienic and clean.
  • Make sure that along with cleaning the dwelling place, you ensure that the dog is also clean and well bathe.  A dirty environment is where the place most fleas would love to go to.  If the environment is clean but the dog's body is not, everything else will be useless and futile.  You need to make sure that the dog is properly cleaned during the bathing session and that if the dog has huge fur, the dog needs to have a flea comb so that little bugs are taken off their bodies during the time that it is combed.
  • Make sure that you feed your dog with healthy foods.  You see, one of the sources of flea and bug production is not only dependent on the environment.  It is proven that a healthy diet for dogs will help the flea and bug production on a minimal level.  You should ensure that the dog is eating only what is being recommended by the animal doctor and that you maintain a healthy and wise diet for the dog at all times.

These are some of the controlling mechanisms and means that humans or dog owners can follow in order to fully control and mitigate the flea infestation to dogs and other animals.
