Denison University Description:
Denison is a highly-rated liberal arts college located in Granville, Ohio, about 30 miles east of Columbus. The university (more accurately a "college" since there are no graduate programs) boasts an impressive 10 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and students come from all across the U.S. and world. Denison's strengths in the liberal arts and sciences have earned it a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
The 900-acre campus is home to a 550-acre biological reserve. Denison does well with financial aid -- the majority of aid comes in the form of grants, and students graduate with less debt than at most comparable colleges. On the athletic front, Denison is a member of the NCAA's Division III North Coast Athletic Conference; it fields 23 sports--11 for men, and 12 for women. Denison has over 100 clubs and organizations, and hosts several concerts and events throughout the year.
