How to Paint a Pyramid
- 1). Line up the ruler and draw the long side of a triangle in a vertical direction and slightly angled to the left side. Draw the next line from the top of the first down toward the left and angled steeply to form a small point at the top of the first line. Draw the third line in the triangle so that the second and third line form a right angle, or a 90 degree angle, and the third and first line form a small corner. The first line is the longest, the second line follows in size, and the third, which is the base of the pyramid, forms the shortest line.
- 2). Draw a second triangle using the longest line in the first triangle as a common line. The second and third lines of the second triangle should end up about even in length. The second triangle is larger than the first because the first angles to the left.
- 3). Paint the first triangle one color and paint the second triangle another color. This shows the two distinct triangular shapes.
- 4). Add shading at the bottom of the pyramid. Shading is a slightly gray or light colored paint that follows the bottom line of the drawing and then rounds slightly at the right and left corners to disappear, giving the appearance of a third side.
