The Bandit 112 amplifier is a member of Peavey's TransTube Series. A solid-state amp designed specifically to emulate the tones of tube amps, the Bandit 112 offers beginners and professionals the chance to experiment with a much broader range of sound than standard amplifiers. Understanding the amplifier specifications is a good place to begin learning about whether this model is for you. - The Bandit 112 offers those about to rock 80 watts of power driven through one 12-inch Blue Marvel speaker. The second switch is found on the lead channel and gives musicians the chance to experiment with a modern position for gritty rock tones, a classic position for tube amp sounds with an emphasis on overdrive as well as a high gain position for those who use lower pre-gain settings but require a tighter response. - Rear panel specifications include an AC power inlet, the power switch, a 1/4-inch jack for headphones, an external speaker jack, effects loops jack and a remote switch jack. A special feature located on the rear of this amp is a three-position power level switch with 25, 50 and 100 percent power level options. This feature is essentially a simulator of tube power amplifiers and gives musicians the opportunity to adjust their amp according to the size of a room.
- Like many amplifiers, the Peavey Bandit 112 is constructed with quality sound in mind, not the convenience of easy portability.
