When playing scenario paintball, it's not just the marker that makes the game fun and exciting.
In addition toyour upgradable paintball marker parts (body, hopper, tank and barrel), there are many other paintball parts that are often overlooked.
Part that make a scenario paintball event exciting include: costumes, missions, props, storylines and characters; parts that help make a paintball team more cohesive include: two-way radios and uniforms.
Scenario Events Costumes I think are the most underutilized in any event.
They are really what helps immerse a player in the game, yet are utilized so little.
Scenario Paintball is all about getting out from in front of your gaming screen and actually living the game.
It amazes me how much time one will spend on creating a virtual outfit for their online gaming character, but won't take the time to create one in REAL LIFE! Missions are just that: tasks that are given by the general of each army or the event producer that help award points for that player's army.
They can be a menial as guarding a structure or as dangerous as "killing" the other army's general.
Props can be provided by the event producer or the attending players (but always get the Producer's permission first!) Props make the game more exciting and interactive.
At TAW Paintball, we've had props that don't "do" anything, props that blow baby powder 40 feet in the air, and we've even used other players as props! Storylines are what set scenario apart from any other type of paintball.
Each scenario event revolves around the theme create by the storyline.
Scenarios storylines can be comical, pitting Santa against his reindeers for example, a theoretical continuation of a popular movie (sci-fi movies are great for this), and even a reenactment of a famous war.
What's great is that for every type of desired genre there is a scenario paintball event waiting to be played! Characters are are who you are at the scenario event.
What's great here is that you can choose to be yourself--or not.
If you choose not to be yourself but you can't figure out who--or what--to be, scenario producers are more than happy to suggest a character role for you to play.
Teams Since paintball fields are usually 10 or more acres, two-way radios really help teams stay in communication with each other while out on the field.
Some radios are better than others, so keep that in mind while you shop around for a good set.
Nothing looks more fierce than a team of players out in uniform.
It shows cohesiveness and strength.
This is never to be over looked.
As you can see, there are many parts to scenario paintball.
All of them are important if you want to get the most out of the experience.
