Building a niche empire is a good way to make serious cash from your online home-based business.
To do this, you have to create lots of separate niche websites, each one generating a profit.
Added together, these profits can give you a substantial regular income.
People who build these niche websites also have to buy a domain name for each one, giving each site a separate identity for search benefits.
Domain names are cheap, but if you set-up a hundred sites, this is going to add up to a great sum yearly.
It is also a lot of hassle to find domain names that are not in use already in use.
It is also another hassle to set-up these sub domains, and manage the annual renewal payments.
Some of us have found a much easier and cheaper way to deal with these problems.
The solution is using a web hosting feature called "subdomains".
A sub domain is a special feature offered by some web hosts.
Your domain name looks something like this...
"dogbite.
com", Using a sub domain name would look like this...
"fleapowder.
dogbite.
com".
You can put any text phrase you want to, in place of the word "fleapowder".
Usually, this would be the keyword of the nice you are targeting.
So you would expect the term, "fleapowder.
dogbite.
com" to contain information and articles about "fleapowder".
Please note that the "fleapowder subdomain", is hosted as part of the "dogbite.
com website.
And it is hosted as a subfolder, on my "dogbite.
com, called "fleapowder".
Another thing to note is, as far as the search engines are concerned, "fleapowder.
dogbite.
com is treated as a separate website to "dogbite.
com" By using subdomains, you will still get all the benefits from the search engines as a separate website, but without all the hassles and cost involved.
this is an easy way to create new websites, which have the name of the niche ("fleapowder" in this case), at the front of its web address, in exactly the same way as if you had buy a separate domain name for the site.
If you have a hundred sites, you can use this method to save 1000's a year on domain names...
To use subdomains, you have to find a host who supports them, but many web host provides this feature now, at no extra cost to you.
It is still going to take you time and effort to create each subdomain, using a technical looking control panel.
