    Bayou Shores RV Park

    • Bayou Shores RV Park is situated directly on the shores of Galveston Bay. It has 84 full hookup sites that are available on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Monthly rates come at a discount. Some of the sites have either 30- or 50-amp electric connections and are pull-through. On the property are restrooms, a playground, a laundry facility, showers, a boat ramp and a fishing pier. Ice, as well as a fax and copy service, is also available. The park is 1 mile from both Moody Gardens and the Schlitterbahn Water Park. The park also has a restaurant and bar.

    Jamaica Beach RV Park

    • Jamaica Beach RV Park is situated next to the city of Jamaica Beach and across the street from the beaches of Galveston Bay. It offers a great view of both the Galveston Bay area and the Gulf of Mexico. There are sites for both RVs and tents. The RV sites are pull-through and come with cable television, 20- to 50-amp electric, sewage and water hookups. There is free high-speed wireless Internet access in the park, as well a game room, laundry room, shower area, hot tub, swimming pool and exercise room. Guests receive a complimentary Continental breakfast that includes homemade waffles, as well as free coffee and a newspaper. There is also a shuttle service to the various cruise lines that are based out of the area. Groups can also take advantage of the park's large community area.

    Galveston Island State Park

    • Galveston Island State Park has campsites with water and electricity, including some with 50-amp connections. There are picnic areas and restrooms that come with and without showers. Outdoor showers are also available. The recreational opportunities are what make this campground really stand out. Fishermen can take advantage of a concrete boat ramp adjacent to the park, as well as a fish-cleaning shelter. Both saltwater and freshwater fishing can be found in the park. There are four miles of trails for hiking and mountain bike riding. There is also a short nature/interpretive trail. Boardwalks go through the dunes and connect the camping ground to the beach. Swimming, canoeing and wildlife watching are other popular activities for campers.
