Roses are a magnificent looking plant with its full range of colours available.
People like to grow roses in beds by themselves and others decide to plant them with other types of plants.
Both are perfectly fine and the decision is really all yours, however there are a few things that you should note.
You should initially step back and just think for a moment about how your garden will look with these roses in full bloom in different positions of your garden.
Roses can really bring out the true potential of any garden so just take the time initially instead of just simply dropping it in your garden without much thought.
Roses need a lot of sunlight around 6 hours during the day.
So make sure it won't be sitting in a shady spot or is next to other plants that block that very much needed sunlight.
Also roses can get very big so you should allow it to grow freely without resistance from other surrounding plants.
Roses can stay in bloom for long periods so make sure you choose a colour that you like and one that goes well with your garden.
One of the many great advantages of roses, is that you can even build a screen of rose bushes that can potentially block views you don't like or even reduce noise and it can basically help define boundaries.
There are quite a few roses that can be used for this purpose, which include Morden shrub roses or any rugose rose.
