- Incorporated in 1894, Elkhart Lake, Wis., is about 16 miles east of Sheboygan and 54 miles north of Milwaukee. All sites include water and electric hookups and require reservations. Although sewage connections are not offered at the park, a waste dump is on-site for campers' convenience. In addition, the camp has six additional acres of first-come, first-serve land for primitive camping with no connections and no marked sites. The park offers picnic areas, toilets, running drinking water and showers. A restaurant is located on the property. Freshwater fishing and boating are available on-site, and the park rents boats to those who do not bring their own. The park also has a playground and hiking and snowmobile trails.

The resort features 667 campsites, with the largest spots able to accommodate vehicles up to 100 feet in length. Many of the sites feature a design that allows drivers to pull their vehicles into spaces rather than backing into the site. Full water, electric and sewage hookups are available at each lot as well as cable Internet connections. Guests can also access wireless Internet throughout the resort. On-site amenities include restrooms, showers, waste dump, a mobile sewage unit and public telephones. The campground operates a restaurant and small store that sells basic groceries, RV supplies, propane and firewood. Little Elkhart Lake is adjacent to the campsites, allowing for fishing, swimming and boating with boat rentals available at the resort. The resort also has three heated swimming pools, hot tub, shuffleboard courts, an arcade, miniature golf course, basketball and sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, a bocce ball court and an outdoor movie theater. Plymouth Rock Camping Resort is open from mid-April through mid-October. Reservations are required.

The park offers 339 campsites, ranging from 60 feet and 100 feet in length. About half of the sites are pull-throughs. For hookups, the park features some sites with water and electric only and some with full water, sewage and electricity connections. Those who choose to camp and not take advantage of the connections receive a reduced rental fee. Wireless Internet is available throughout, but the park charges an additional fee to access it. For campers' convenience, the resort has restrooms, showers, a waste dump, mobile sewer service, laundry facilities, a snack bar and a camp store with propane, basic groceries, an ATM, RV supplies and firewood. The park has a stocked fishing pond and three heated swimming pools. Other recreational activities include four playgrounds, a petting farm, a miniature golf course, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, a baseball field, shuffleboard courts and an outdoor movie theater. Westward Ho RV Resort operates from mid-April through mid-October. Reservations are highly recommended.
