    Asotin Wildlife Area

    • Located in the eastern Washington state region of Asotin County, the Asotin Wildlife Area offers almost 16,000 acres of area approved by the state for the purpose of public hunting. The area is rich in live game, such as such as elk, turkey, deer, quail, grouse and chukar. The wildlife area is open to the public year-round, however electronic vehicles are prohibited from December 1 to March 31 of each year.

    Chief Joseph Wildlife Area

    • Open year-round to the public, Chief Joseph Wildlife Area is characterized by its rugged terrain and steep canyons. The area, located just outside of Clarkston, offers deer, elk, black bear, bighorn sheep and a variety of birds and water fowl. Motorized vehicles 48 inches and under in height are permitted entry in the months of October and November only. Otherwise, all entry must be by foot or non-motorized transportation.

    Revere Wildlife Area

    • Located in Whitman County, Revere Wildlife Area offers more than 2,000 acres of public land approved for hunting by the state of Washington. The area offers prime access to birds of prey, water fowl, upland birds, deer and rabbit. The area also offers a designated wildlife observation area rich in butterflies, reptiles, amphibians and wildflowers. Horseback riding and hiking trails are also available. The area is open year-round, however, no public restrooms are provided.

    Weatherly Wildlife Unit

    • Located in Garfield County, the Weatherly Wildlife Unit covers approximately 3,400 acres of public land that is approved for hunting. Hunters are afforded the opportunity to track black bear, deer, elk and bighorn sheep. Fowl hunters will find the area rich in birds of prey and a variety of upland birds. The unit is open to the public year-round for the purpose of hunting and wildlife viewing, but the main access road is closed to motorized vehicles during winter months.
