  With its large Hispanic population, Dallas has a large number of night clubs that cater to a Latino crowd. Many of these nightclubs are full of energy as patrons take to large dance floors, swinging to Salsa music and meeting like-minded people. • Kaliente is a Latino dance club with a range of music that includes Top 40, Pop, Salsa, Cumbia and Meringue. The club is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. This is a gay club with Latino male dancers along with "divas'' who host weekly events, such as karaoke nights and amateur strip contests. Cash prizes are also offered during the nightclub's talent contests. Valet parking is available at Kaliente, which has a large dance floor and a variety of DJs spinning music. Drag shows are held each week at the nightclub, when its walls are covered with art and includes a light show that produces a colorful atmosphere.

Gloria's Restaurant & Bar

• Gloria's Restaurant & Bar is part of a chain of 12 establishments in Texas, including two in the Dallas city limits. The bar is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and has a happy hour all day on Sunday through Thursday. Reduced drinks during happy hour include margaritas, imported and domestic beer plus various wines. Although Gloria's is primarily known for its Latino cuisine, it is also a nightclub where patrons go to dance on Friday and Saturday evenings. Reservations for private parties are accepted. The bar serves appetizers and holds a talent contest on Sundays.
