How to Add Text With GIMP

    • 1). Open your graphics project in GIMP.

    • 2). Click the Text tool from the Toolbox. If you cannot see the toolbox, hold the "Ctrl" key and press "B." You may also select the Text tool by pressing the "T" key on your keyboard.

    • 3). Select the options you need for the text on the bottom of the toolbox. You may choose to change the font, size, color, justification, indentation and spacing.

    • 4). Click wherever you want the text to appear. A composition box appears.

    • 5). Type your text in the box. Alternatively, click "Open" and select a text file from the navigation window that appears.

    • 6). Click "Close" to finish adding the text.
