    • 1). Go to Yahoo! Finance. Yahoo! Finance is the top-rated investment research site on the web, according to Alexa.com. Click on the Investing tab and select Currencies.

    • 2). Select the currency you are interested in charting. For this example, lets choose EUR/USD. All currency is quoted and charted in pairs.

    • 3). Click Basic Chart in the left pane. Next to the word Range select, 1d (1 day), 5d (5 day), 3m (3 month), 1y (1 year), 2y (2 year), 5y (5 year) for the time horizon of the chart. Toggle between at least 2 to compare.

    • 4). Decide what type of chart you would like to view. You can choose between a bar (small perpendicular bars that represent the price movement for the smallest time increment), line (one fluid line from each mid-price point for the smallest time increment) and candlestick (solid or clear bars with two lines to show the price movement for the smallest time increment). Each type of chart has its advantages, but the best chart for you will depend on your personal charting style. Play with each one to see which ones feels the most intuitive.

    • 5). Click on the box next to S&P, NASDAQ and Dow in order to view the price movements of these indices in comparison with the forex chart.
