Profit Mart Affiliate System - Just Another "Free" Money Sucker?
The sales page has most of the usual promises of free stuff and of course telling you how easy it is to make your fortune.
The center of the sales pitch is a free website.
Most of the free stuff on offer are simply features of the website.
Of course there is no such thing as a "free lunch", or certainly not that has any substance to it.
To make this work you will need to sign up for a hosting package that will cost you either $19.
95 or $49.
95 per month.
The $49.
95 hosting gets you a list of benefits including a quarterly 1 on 1 consultation, a site critique, access to private label software, search engine submissions, live support and a couple of other notional benefits.
If you are new to this game just start with the basic $19.
95.
The website provided does deliver on its promises.
You will get your own website with a name that you do actually choose yourself.
It is relatively easy to modify and make your own.
While there are heaps of products for you to promote on the standard site, you can, in minutes have your site reduced down to one category and offering just a few products.
So depending on how many Niches you are involved in now, or want to be in the future, your web site can very simply be adjusted to what you are concentrating on at any given time.
The format of the website is simple and designed to be functional not pretty.
The back office is comprehensive with some very good reporting facilities.
It is also easily navigated.
I have sent off a few inquiries to the help desk, (not live for us Aussies) and the response was prompt, my questions were answered in a brief but very adequate manner.
If you have some experience with this type of system you will easily navigate through the administration area and control panel.
If you are still fairly new to affiliate systems and website design, you may find it all a bit confronting.
Your best bet is to head straight for the "Profit mart" control panel and start watching the video tutorials.
You will also have your own control panel.
This is the panel that controls your actual website, it can be a bit daunting and You don't really need to do anything here unless you want to set up an email account.
Setting up your email is pretty simple and is demonstrated in one of the video tutorials.
The profit mark control panel is a very good tool and in particular the training videos will help to get you up and running in as short a time as possible.
My only criticism of these videos is that they were obviously produced some time ago.
As a result some aspects of your actual site and back office will look different to what is shown in the training videos.
You can also download a tool bar which gives you easy access to the various features of your website, including marketing, support, forums and some cool gadgets to help you waste some more time!!! (you can delete these if they are a distraction) Like all affiliate marketing systems you also get to become an affiliate.
So you will have two opportunities to make some money.
Firstly to promote your the products on your site, and if you wish to promote the system itself.
The commissions are pretty normal at 50%, so if you sign up for a $19.
95 hosting account and introduce two new people, you will have covered your monthly hosting costs.
Conclusion; If you are looking to get started or to add another string to your bow, I recommend you check this system out.
If you have not yet defined what it is you want to achieve with your online business, then don't buy the product, in fact don't even look at it until you have decided that you are committed to getting involved in affiliate marketing.
A part of that process would be to commit to how much time and money you are prepared to invest.
Remember if something is free, it either won't work or it will require some real effort on your part to make it work.
Even the programs and software you buy will only help to reduce the amount of time you need to invest - they will not work on their own!
