- 1). Insert the compression nut onto the copper tubing so the open end of the nut faces the receiving female fitting end.
- 2). Insert the ferrule onto the copper tubing.
- 3). Insert the tubing into the female receiving fitting and slide the ferrule down the tubing and into the groove in the receiving fitting.
- 4). Push the compression nut over the ferrule on the receiving fitting and screw the nut clockwise by hand until tight. Use the pliers to apply pressure to secure the nut onto the receiving fitting.
