Hi, I'm Nelson Vercher. I'm here at the Renaissance Salon with my beautiful model, Alicia. Today, I'm going to demonstrate hairstyles for a strapless gown. So Alicia has beautiful textured hair and we've used a one inch curling iron on it just to give it a little extra body. How I'm going to start this is you want to do a little teasing. So you just take a section at the top and you want to over direct it. And then just back comb. But very lightly, nothing too much because you want it to still be a very pretty, easy look. So two sections on the crown. And this can differ depending on the texture of hair you have. One on the side. And one on the other side. Section in back and it's almost just like one or two times you're teasing it, you don't have to do a lot because as I said, this will be a very easy look. And so you just keep working your way down until you're out of hair. Make sure you get the sides. So once your teasing is done, you want to just kind of run your fingers through it all to loosen it up. She has some nice height at the top. So now I'm just going to grab the top. I've gathered both sides back. I'm going to use two bobby pins and criss-cross them. There's one, and then the other. So that's going to give me a nice base there. Now with the back I want to loosely put it up but I don't want it to be too formal. I want it to still be very pretty and soft. I definitely don't want this to be a hard look. I'm just going to wind this up. Just going to twist it up. And kind of work the texture. And now you want to finish up with spray. You have a perfect elegant look for a strapless gown. I'm Nelson Vercher here at the Renaissance Salon. I hope you enjoy, thank you.
