When planning a wedding, it is appropriate to show thanks to the bridesmaids and groomsmen in the form of a gift. When choosing gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsmen, you need to decide if you want to give them all the same gift or if you want their gifts to vary. Often times brides will give the maid of honor a different gift than the bridesmaids, or something special in addition to what the others received. This is also true of the best man and groomsmen. Be sure to enclose a personal card with each gift thanking the bridesmaid or groomsman for everything they've done. - Your bridesmaids gifts should be something special that the women in your wedding will keep and treasure for years to come. A jewelry box with a piece of jewelry inside for the bridesmaids to wear at the wedding makes a nice memento. Depending on your budget, you may choose to get the box engraved, making each gift unique and personal.
A gift basket is nice because it can be filled with different things that are specific to each woman's likes--chocolates, bath products, makeup, candles or whatever the bridesmaid's passion is.
Many brides choose to do personalized totes, cosmetic bags or purses that can be used on the wedding day and for a long time after.
A personalized picture frame with a picture of the bride and bridesmaid together is a special keepsake that many bridesmaids love to receive. - Groomsmen gifts should be personal keepsakes that the men can use for a long time. Many grooms choose to give personalized cuff links with either the groomsman's name or initials. Or personalize cuff links by buying those that appeal to the man's interests, such as baseball and mitt cuff links for the sports enthusiast, or an eagle and flag for the military buff.
Personalized flasks, sports mugs and shot glasses are another good idea for groomsmen gifts. If you don't want to engrave names on the gifts, another option is to put the logo of each man's favorite sports team on the item.
Many men appreciate a nice leather wallet. If your groomsmen don't use wallets, consider personalized money clips. - Sometimes instead of gifts, the bride and groom may opt to pay for a special outing for the bridal party. The bridesmaids may enjoy a day at the spa or a night on the town. The groomsmen might spend a day at the golf course or a night at a game.
If the bridal party is unable to gather for a day out, or they all have varying interests, gift cards are another option.
Get more creative by giving gifts such as concert tickets for the music buff, cooking classes for the budding chef or dance lessons for the dancer.
