- 1). Allow children to color crayon designs on the front and back of a sheet of paper. Pictures will become distorted by later steps, so filling the page with colors is sufficient.
- 2). Fold the short end of the paper to create a strip about 1-inch wide. Fold the new edge back in the opposite direction to create a strip of the same width. Continue folding the paper in alternating directions to create an accordion fold along the whole length of the paper.
- 3). Gather the folded paper to form one thick, 1-inch-wide strip. Staple one end of the strip together about one-half-inch from the edge. Spread the unstapled end as far as you can without ripping the paper.
